Dennis Richardson AC is a former Secretary of the Department of Defence and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He served as Ambassador of Australia to the United States from 2005 to 2009 and was a career public servant since 1969, when he joined Australia’s foreign service. Mr Richardson was on the board of the US Studies Centre at Sydney University from 2010-2017.

Following his retirement from the Public Service, he was appointed to the Board of Linfox Australia. In addition to Linfox, Richardson currently serves on the Boards of The National Capital Authority, Vault Cloud, The Australian Wildlife Conservancy, The Canberra Raiders NRL Club and is Chair of StarFlight Victoria. He is also the Patron of the RSPCA in the ACT.
